Bonus scheme for Paris Olympics and Paralympics medallists

Gold medallists are set to earn €80,000 (or $89,600), silver medallists will receive €65,000 ($72,700), and bronze medallists will get €50,000 ($56,000). France is just one of many countries that are offering financial incentives for athletes taking part in the Olympics games. The record for the highest bonuses ever offered belongs to Singapore. Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medallists were expected to receive SGD$1 million (£587,000/$755,000/€675,000), however, the country did not earn any medals at the previous Olympics.
