Premier League Clubs Urge FIFA: Shift Saudi Arabia Transfer Deadline for Fair Play and Equal Opportunities

According to the Daily Mail, the Premiere League is expected to lobby FIFA to change the Saudi Arabia transfer deadline to prevent Saudi Arabian clubs from plundering players from the Premiership. The Saudi transfer window is due to close on September 7, while the transfer window of the major European leagues closes on September 1, which leaves space for Saudi clubs to approach players with lucrative offers they could potentially accept and would leave the Premiere League clubs scrambling to find replacements before the window closes. One of the most prominent figures to voice concern regarding the deadlines is Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
